Dolgellau & Surrounding Area

Dolgellau was the first place in Wales to host a Folk Festival in July 1952. This was a very exciting time and then in 1978 Dolgellau rekindled its enthusiasm for music and dance traditions when it held the Dolgellau Celtic Folk Festival.

Musically Dolgellau has gone from strength to strength with the success of the Sesiwn Fawr which succeeds in attracting thousands annually to Dolgellau.

The Centre aims to open in Spring 2007.
