Elis Son Siamas Project

Elis Sïon Siamas’ Interlude Project is coming to a climax next month when Sain recording company will be filming the work at Brithdir village hall. There will be a DVD produced based on three welsh traditions.

The children of Brithdir have been busy preparing a drama on the tradition of Plygain, Rhydymain school have been concentrating on the Calennig and the Fari Lwyd is studied to more detail in Dinas Mawddwy school. Leading the project is the talented Twm Morys who has introduced these welsh traditions to the children and he has been visiting each school individually working on producing material and has done a lot of research work. We are looking forward to the last two workshops, which includes practicing and the final performance.

We have been extremely fortunate to receive funding from Gwynedd and Anglesey Arts Agency to hold this ambitious project and we would also like to thank the school for their willing cooperation. Ty Siamas would also like to thank Sain and also Twm Morys who has contributed voluntary on this project.
